Creating and Sending a Message

Note to advisors and faculty: You do not need to send an inbox message. Students enrolled in OLRN will see this as an actual assignment they need to complete.

Sending an email on a laptop

For this assignment, you will be using the Inbox to send a sample message to your OLRN instructor.

Note: You will not submit an assignment here; you will only be sending the OLRN instructor a message using the Inbox. Once your message has been received, you will get a grade. Directions:

Inbox

First, locate the Inbox in the global navigation menu.

Compose a new message

Next, choose the Compose a new message icon.

Select our course

Select this course - OLRN-0001.

In the To: box, choose Teachers and then the teacher of this course.

Make the Subject of your message OLRN 0001.

Create: Select the text below and press Ctrl+C to copy, then Ctrl+V to paste the sentence into your Inbox message.

Enter your upcoming semester and online course(s) you are taking. If you're registered for more than one upcoming semester, just list the first one.
