Concourse (eSyllabus)
What is Concourse?
Concourse is the new electronic syllabus tool used by the Alamo Colleges to comply with Texas House Bill 2504 which requires all public institutions of higher education to post information about courses, faculty, and other information on the web. Specifically, "each institution of higher education, other than a medical and dental unit, shall make available to the public on the institution's Internet website certain undergraduate course information, and information about available work-study opportunities."
For more information, please visit the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board Links to an external site. (THECB) website.
To access both Concourse and Concourse training, please log into ACES and click the Employee tab. You will see the links to both Concourse and the Introduction to Concourse training in the upper right corner.
You may also access the training course here: Introduction to Concourse - eSyllabus Training Guide Links to an external site.
You may now access and edit your Concourse syllabus from within Canvas, too. Just click Course Syllabus in the left tools menu of any Canvas course.
Concourse is easy to use. It's easy to copy content from one course or section to another, and it's easy to link your e-syllabus into your Canvas course. All of the instructions you need are in the Intro to Concourse training. In the training course, you will also find FAQs and helpful contact info.
