Where Do I Get a Webcam?

Many computers and most mobile devices now come equipped with a built-in webcam.

If your computer does not have a webcam built in, please contact Teaching with Technology at 210-486-4795 to receive a free webcam for use at work or home.

You can also purchase a webcam at any "big box" store (Wal-Mart, Target, etc.) or technology store (Office Max, Best Buy, etc.). They range from about $10 - $100 depending on features and picture quality. Those in the lower end price range are usually sufficient for most uses.

Most webcams come with a tutorial disk or link to online help; however, you will probably find that installing a webcam is as simple as plugging it into the USB port on your computer and following the on-screen instructions.
