Accessing your Online Course-disable Pop-up blocker
If you click on your course in ACES, My Courses tab, and nothing happens, or if you see a notification at the top of the screen that tells you pop-ups have been blocked, then you will also need to allow pop-ups in https://aces.alamo.edu .
Below are the instructions for disabling pop-ups for a site for various browsers:
Minimum Supported Browsers
Canvas highly recommends using the newest version of whatever browser you are using. However, Canvas supports the following browsers and Flash versions (as of March 6, 2014):
- Internet Explorer 9, 10, and 11 (note: IE 9 will no longer be supported as of May 24, 2014)
- Chrome 32 and 33
- Safari 6 and 7
- Firefox 26 and 27
- Flash 10, 11, and 12 (if you want to use the audio/video recording or viewing feature or upload files)
- Respondus Lockdown Browser 4.0
Some supported browsers may still produce a banner stating "Your browser does not meet the minimum requirements for Canvas." If you have upgraded your browser but you are still seeing the warning banner, try logging out of Canvas and deleting your browser cookies. Click here for help with clearing your cache.
Other Browser Requirements:
Canvas was optimized for desktop displays; however, support for mobile devices is constantly improving. Recent updates to the iPhone and Android Apps allow better access to modules, quizzes - everything you need to complete your course work on the go. New releases for iPad and Android tablets are also available. Tablet users can also access Canvas through the Safari or Chrome browsers for the most complete functionality.
