Attendance (Roll Call)

The Attendance tool or Roll Call allows you to track attendance inside of Canvas.

Please do not edit the Attendance (Roll Call) settings in Canvas.

Instructors of all course modalities find this one of the most useful features in Canvas.   

Example:

Once you mark your students present, tardy, or absent, the column in the grade book updates automatically. 

The Roll Call Attendance grade is calculated with 100% for being present, a percentage that you determine for tardiness, and 0% for being absent.
