Announcements

Announcements are usually used to communicate with students about the logistics of your course or to post public reminders. Announcements will appear in your course, and, depending on students' Notification Preferences, students may also receive your announcements via text message, on their social media page, or in their favorite email account.

You can also select a number of announcements to appear at the top of your home page (click Settings, Course Navigation tab, more options).

Announcements can contain text, audio, images, and video. Students can create announcements, "Like" announcements, and respond to announcements, if you choose to enable those options.
