#####
You and your A-JAM student combo are asked to participate in a hybrid Zoom master class with Dr. Arnon Palty Links to an external site. of the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance in Israel on Monday April 12 at 12 PM CST, San Antonio time). Dr. Palty asks that you prepare the following tunes: "Invitation," "Green Dolphin Street," and "A Night in Tunisia." Sheet music PDFs and play-along MP3s of the pieces are available in the Canvas module for the workshop. Look also for links to classic recordings.
You are expected to research the tunes on your own as well. Who wrote them, why are they classics, what are some of the best known and critically acclaimed recordings of the compositions? Be sure to memorize the forms and learn any intros and/or codas that are in widespread use. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions. Stay tuned for updates! Dr. Cartwright
