Word processing software has built in "Styles" that allow users to structure the document.

Using "styles" codes the text with structural information that is read by screen readers.
- When styles are manually created by changing the text size or bolding section headings, the information is formatted incorrectly and screen readers do not know to emphasize the material.
Select the Paragraph drop-down menu to change the text font size. Here you can choose from paragraph, heading 2, heading 3, or heading 4 styles.
