How It Works

The COIL portion of this class includes several online activities you complete with students at our partner school, the Lviv Polytechnic National University (LPNU) in Lviv, Ukraine.

The activities are housed on a totally different Canvas site that students from both institutions have access to. You will do your international collaboration there. But, I will post your grades back here in the NVC Canvas.

Your Commitment

If you select to complete the first COIL activity then I expect you to complete all three. We will be working with students at another school and they will also be expecting you to "show up" to work with them. The collaborative commitment is very minimal but if you get started you need to stick with it for the three activities.

This is a Pilot Project, This May be Weird and Wonky

COIL courses are a new thing to NVC and the instructor/students in Ukraine (I've done them before with Canadians). If things don't work out just perfect then don't fret. The main goal is to meet other students from another country and see what you can learn. If you don't think you can go with the flow, then please don't commit to doing the activities. There is no penalty for NOT doing the COIL work. The points are all "gravy" so to speak.
